Transmissions...
I've heard tell the tranny in a OMT is a crosley, some say its a Borg Warner? My tractor (MT4226), and MT4228 have a casting number on the left side of the case
(as you sit on the tractor)
that reads 590391.
Maybe they all have this casting number but...
I just found out that 1929-1930 Chevrolet cars and light truck transmissions have the same casting number in the same place!!!
They were also 10 spline input shafts like mine but that still doesn't tell me who made it. I just thought it was interesting and you guys might like to know.
It might be the same tranny?!
